Recently, I've been doing some work for Blue Microphones (www.bluemic.com) regarding Austin's annual SXSW and their new iPod-mic, the Mikey. Check their site out next week for the premiere of the two videos I've done for them! BLUE RULES!!!
Also, I sucked it up and joined Twitter this week, just to see what could come of it. Find me - my username is nealbarenblat.

Very Cool Effect
Thanks to a few plugins and some compositing mastery, I've come up with this new "ad" for my website, sort of a "Perfect Storm meets King Kong colors" kind of thing. And I mean Pete Jackson's King Kong, the '30s one doesn't have any color. So that doesn't make any sense. Ugh.

Official Teaser!
So many posts recently! Well, it's worth it. I'm making myself get busy. So here is a trailer for my new top secret short that I cut in about four minutes, so excuse the crudity.

New video!!!
And now the fun begins! A few weeks ago I went to El Paso to visit my friend, Chops, and we had a blast. Climbed some mountains, drank some pizza - you know, normal everyday stuff. Well, we also went to White Sands, NM, and I decided to take my camera with me. Well, sixteen hours and forty seven cinnamon rolls later, I've filmed half of the movie I wanted to make, and my editing skills would have to some how engender another half. Go to the movies page to see it!!!

Website Somewhat Revamped
I redid some of my website, www.nealbarenblat.com, adding a great new flash player to keep the videos all in one place. I'm sure I'll work out kinks in the near future, and update the site even more. Of course, this blog is fully embedded within it, so you can get here direct or through the site (RSS will only update with this blog, though, but I'll try to make major announcements here.) Thanks guys!

Old-Timey Gadget Contest
SO - In light of a contest via C4Dcafe.com regarding old-timey gadgets/machinery, I've taken to modeling a pretty complex, old looking telescope. This is a WIP that will, in order to stand a chance in the contest, look MUCH better with insane textures. Comments, criticisms, etc are welcomed!

Welcome!!!
Welcome to Digital Adolescence! This is a blog I've set up to showcase my still-image work to my friends and family. I'm a developing 3D artist, and this is the best way to get my work out ot you guys in the most efficient manner. This is efficient because I don't have to constantly email you!
Rather, you can subscribe to my RSS feed below. For those of you who don't know, this is a way to be automatically updated whenever I post a new image or video. It will ask you if you want to use your browser, or by clicking on "Atom", you can choose an email client (I use Apple Mail).
I strongly urge everyone to subscribe so this can be worthwhile and you can get to see my stuff! I also plan on walking through some of these effects and explaining some of it. Unless otherwise mentioned, everything is CGI.
So enjoy, and subscribe! Thanks guys
